So let's not waste time and take a look at the ingredients. For cooking the dish, you will require 12 cups crushed cornflakes, 6 tsp sugar, 2 tbsps reduced fat spread, 80 ounce can of sweet potato in light syrup, 32 ounce can of crushed pineapples along with 20 ounce bag of marshmallows.
How to make sweet potato pie:
While preparing the sweet potato pie, you can crush the cornflakes with sugar in a bowl. Take a baking pan and melt the reduced fat spread. Place the melted spread into the cornflake-sugar mixture and stir them properly. Transfer the mixture into an oiled baking pan. Take a bowl and mix the sweet potato (drained) and pineapple (un-drained) and pour the mixture on top of crust. Put the marshmallow on top of the pie. Place the baking dish inside the oven at 350 degrees and bake for around 20-25 minutes. Once they are baked, you can keep them aside so that they get cooled before slicing them.
The recipe is really healthy as sweet potato is rich in vitamins and very low in fat. This could become an impressive holiday dish for your family and friends.
